Dr. Olesia Shalayska

Dr. Olesia Shalayska specializes in a diverse client population ranging in ages from younger adults to the aging geriatric population.

Dr. Olesia Shalayska is a licensed clinical psychologist, a certified dementia practitioner specializing in a diverse client population ranging in ages from 13+.

Dr. Olesia Shalayska earned her M.A. and Doctoral degree at Illinois School of Professional Psychology. As a clinical psychologist, and certified dementia practitioner, she has worked with a diverse clinical population ranging in ages from 13 to 100+ years old. However, her specific interest and strengths are in adult and geriatric clients that struggle with comorbid mood disorders and medical conditions. Her clinical work focuses on working with individuals who have mood disorder, depression, trauma, comorbid substance abuse, difficulties with life transitions, grief/loss, and others.

Dr. Shalayska works primarily from a Dialectic Behavioral and Cognitive Behavioral framework, incorporating other approaches when needed to help the client achieve their goals. From the first session she develops a strong therapeutic alliance with the client to help empower their journey to emotional wellbeing.” Dr. Shalayska is much more than “Just Talk Therapy”.

Kurt Jackson

M.A., LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified School Counselor

Kurt Jackson is an empathetic and solutions-oriented professional counselor, highly skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Modification Therapy and in ASCA School Counseling Model. He is committed to providing exceptional care and therapeutic solutions to distressed populations.

Kurt specializes in working with adults and adolescent teenagers who struggle with psychological and behavioral disorders and social ills, skillfully counseled in school-based, one-on-one, and group settings.

He possesses the innate ability to establish rapport, build confidence, and relate to individuals on all levels, with an outstanding track record for maintaining strong relationships with parents, students, peers, administration leaders, and community partners.

Dr. Gwendolyn Marshall

MSW, MLS, DSW

Doctor of Social Work

Dr. Gwen Marshall has worked with various diverse populations which include children and families, couples, individuals, geriatric, adult psychiatric facility, abuse and neglect, domestic violence, police social work, day care facilities, and DCFS Clinical Services.

Social work has taught Dr. Marshall empathy, resilience, attachment, and how to make patient diagnosis and social histories. She provides counseling / therapy while connecting with the client.

As a strong believer in continuous education and self-improvement, Dr. Marshall has received a BA in Psychology from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, a Doctorate and Masters Degree in social work from Aurora University, Aurora, IL, and a Masters Degree in Leadership Studies from North Central College, Naperville, IL. She has addition training in counseling, special education, psychology, and higher education.

Dr. Gwendolyn Marshall is currently an adjunct professor at North Eastern Illinois University.
