I would like to thank everyone for coming together to support the relief efforts for Ukrainian people and soldiers. The need for medical supplies is constant as hospitals, civilians and infrastructure continues to be bombed. Injuries mount in not just the army but also for peaceful individuals.

Growing up in Ukraine and immigrating to the United States in the early 90s as a refugee my family can firsthand recount “Russian Peace.” My great- grandfather was sent to Siberia for 10 years under Stalin. He was lucky to come back, but that did not end the continued scrutiny of my family. My grandparents refusing to join the communist party, due to inconsistency with their personal values, only continued the pressure and persecution.

Unfortunately, “Russian Peace” is only synonymous with internal terrorism, death, bondage, family destruction, and continued suffering. Therefore, I would encourage everyone who can to support our cause of not just providing immediate relief to Ukraine but understanding that your support will strengthen resolve to continue the fight for true peace is which freedom, tolerance and acceptance are embraced. Personally, I know we are on the right side of history if we support the Ukrainian cause in any way we can.
